Chris Herndon and Cole Bangert held down first and second place finishes this past weekend at Snowshoe Mountain, securing the weekends top spots in both dual slalom and downhill to solidify the series overall championship for Chris Herndon.
Being the series leader going into the final event, Team American and 2007 U.S. Dual Slalom National Champion, Chris Herndon, had the privilege of watching the entire field take-off by being the last rider out of the start house. Herndon, who raced all three of Snowshoes Powerade Series events was able to secure first place in all three downhill races, as well as all three dual slalom events, and undoubtedly winning himself the lions share of the series $25,000 cash purse.

Fox has partnered with Decline Magazine and Specialized for 2008 to get Team America up and running. In addition to financial backing, Fox is the official clothing/gear provider for the team. This has provided Fox with some great exposure in DH racing courtesy of four of the fastest professional racers in the U.S., as well as three of the fastest juniors.
Team America was created in 2007 to help up-and-coming U.S. gravity racers gain valuable World Cup experience. Aaron Chase's 'Bright As Night' party had a great turn out, and proved to be a heck of a way to spend a Wednesday night out in Whistler. A great cause was in effect for this white and neon fest - the Tara Llanes Heart of a Champion Road to Recovery Fund, in which $5,000 was raised. Fox was one of the proud sponsors and was represented throughout right down to the two dancers hired for the party - PG dancers people!
Our boy Cam McCaul rode his tail end off in the Slopestyle finals on Saturday. He put down a super solid run which earned him 4th at the end of the day. The competition was crazy this year to say the least consisting of Double Back Flips and a Front Flip off the final Kokanee box. Cam put it out there, and as always we couldn't be more proud.
